Shovel Knight is a side scrolling platformer where you play as a knight that uses a shovel as weapon while he goes off in search of his missing girlfriend, Shield Knight.
The story is very linear. You fight several other traitorsknights to remove their blockades in the area map. You have the choice of choosing which of an area’s knights you would like to fight first.
Your ultimate goal is to reach the tower at the other end of the land to find your lost love.
